Walk Around theTown Square

Inspiration for this large throw came from an article about the quilters at Gee's Bend, AL. They were desperately poor and recycled all their clothing into quilts. The results are wonderful pieces of modern art. Several are on display in museums. My quilt used shades of hand dyed brown and cream fabrics with an unexpected print at one edge. Using a simple pattern and minimal color results in a traditional quilt with modern touch. Quilt is shown on standard size bed. Size is 65 in. x 72 in.
